My page is up today that I drew for Gutters, and I thought it’d be neat to show my process and the lineart off a bit. I never get to draw superheroes enough, but that’s probably for the best. Anyway, I’ve always liked a stockier Superman who is built more for strength…hmm, yep!

Yeah, I missed this. As much as I love drawing RS, it’s really nice to work on a bit of a grittier project at the same time.

Some inks from another project I’m working on…inking on my Yiynova is a bit easier now, it just took some getting used to. :)

Family (2009) was my 16 page Thesis comic done junior year at SVA, you can read the whole thing here. It’s about a modern Persephone who must choose between her lady love or her schizophrenic uncle for the sake of her family. Looking back, it’s pretty screwed up and twisted, but that’s probably why I had a lot of fun with it and surprisingly didn’t tire of working on it. It’s overall message has a lot to do with how schizophrenia has affected my family, so on the whole it’s a pretty sad and personal piece for me. Completely traditional, seeing this again makes me miss watercolors a lot haha.

Kakapo (2008) is one of my oldest comics, done during the end of my sophmore year in two weeks. It’s about a lady tarzan who, instead of gorillas, was raised by macaws. She always felt left out for she could not fly, but one day she found a fellow flightless friend. They bounded through the trees together happily ever after~! :)

The textless version of my Spera short, now up on my site along with a few other tweaks. Hopefully all the other items are a bit easier to navigate now. :)

I haven’t been able to do much personal art lately, but I doodle a LOT on my iPad during my commute, so I decided to take a sketch and tweak it up a bit to post. I’ve been thinking a lot about my original story lately! Probably ‘cause I can’t do it right now hahaa~<3

Inking these pages has been some of the cleanest linework I’ve done, but at the same time I made the decision to never try to hide my brush marks. I don’t think Regular Show is the kind of thing that wants to be clean. I hope you will enjoy it on April 24th!
